The City of Dallas Office of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence in partnership with the Dallas Police Department (DPD) launched a new interactive Crime Analytics Dashboard giving the public a closer look at DPD crime-related data. In addition to listing the date, time and the frequency of a given crime, users can also see information on victim demographics, dispatched calls for service and response time.
Data from the past two years is provided by city level, council district, ZIP code, division, sector, beat, and reporting area and will refresh daily. This important tool increases transparency and enables the public and city leaders to explore crime data they are personally interested in across the City of Dallas.
Our Dallas
Check out the new city app – Our Dallas – which allows citizens to report all sorts of things, like loose dogs, street lights that are out, and also some types of crimes. Basically, nonviolent crimes such as noise complaints, parking violations, vandalism, etc. Search for “Our Dallas and look for the logo above wherever you get your Android or iPhone apps.
Dallas Online Crime Reporting Program (DORS)
In conjunction with the Our Dallas app, the city has implemented an online crime reporting program for non-emergency crimes.

Once the crime has been reported, you will receive a confirming email. You will receive various follow-up emails from the city. Crimes that can be reported include accidents (where the police did not respond), burglary of motor vehicle, and theft under $2,500.00.
