NOCUPP: Committed to Safer North Oak Cliff Communities

For almost 16 years, NOCUPP has provided neighborhood police patrols to North Oak Cliff communities. Funding for NOCUPP comes from member-based subscriptions and donor gifts.

Nearly 90% of NOCUPP funds are used to pay for patrol hours by off-duty DPD officers and 5% is used to pay for the DPD patrol car. The remaining funds are used to pay administrative costs like paying for member signs, servers to host our membership data base, and the cell phone used by our officers.

In our 16 year history, NOCUPP has never raised the cost of a membership subscription (keeping subscription costs to $1.00 per day).

But we are not immune from the impact of inflation. Most significantly, the hourly rate we pay our officers has been increased to remain competitive with similar programs.

Over the years, NOCUPP has managed to provide a consistent amount of daily patrol by expanding our membership and through generous donations of members. Our membership has recently leveled off. In order to keep our membership subscription price at its historic levels, our all-volunteer board of directors asks you to:

Encourage your neighbors to join NOCUPP (the greater the neighborhood membership, the higher the patrol hours in your neighborhood); and
